If you are having your makeup and/or hair done for your session, arrive with a clean face and dry hair. Apply a fresh coat of mascara on your lashes and bring your mascara along with you to add a second layer after you've had your make up done. If you have a favorite lip color, please bring that with you as well.
It’s always helpful to apply a moose or holding product to your hair especially if your hair does not hold a curl. Do not use oil. Let me know if you have any sensitivities, and feel free to bring some inspiration photos for your makeup and/or hair look.
Use clear deodorant & moisturize your body before your session.
Don’t forget to eat something, preferably a protein food and drink lots of water the day before. I will have drinks and light snacks available for you in the studio.
A good night’s sleep will ensure you are refreshed for your photoshoot.
If you normally do your nails, get a manicure and pedicure before you session (or DIY at home). At the very least, make sure to have your nails clean and filed.
Your hands and feet will show in many of your images, and we don’t want chipped polish, or gardening soil showing!
For your session we do NOT recommend a spray tan if you haven’t had one done before as it will affect how your skin tone will photograph. You should also stay out of the sun to avoid any burns before your session!
Retouching of streaks, tan lines and sunburns is not included in the retouching but available for an extra charge.
Having freshly trimmed and colored hair - if that’s something you do - will make you feel like a supermodel during your session! Eyebrows showcase your eyes and are the focal point to any portrait. Waxing your eyebrows the week before your session not only will bring out your eyes but will make your portrait look polished. Be sure not to have your eyebrows waxed too close to your session date in case your skin breaks out or becomes irritated.
